The aftermath... Spyro wake up after unleashing the Darkness Overload fury, the very same technique that caused Malefor to kill himself generations ago but that in his hands, reversed the end of the world...

Seems like Spyro has ducked out of his fate (becoming the new Dark Master and destroying the world) for this time. What new antics might be coming up next? We shall see.

So far, nothing that we do not know already but it does set up the scene nicely. Considering the background (although it's rather simplistic and vague), I'd say they're probably still at the bottom of the Well of Souls, just after the Dark Realm gate was closed (and probably destroyed) due to Spyro's final burst of power. I assume that this take place after DotD's final battles but before the ending's last scene (showing Spyro and Cynder flying in the skies).

So far so good, I guess.
